Northwest hammered Central Missouri 81-47 Thursday evening in a rematch of a game that had a much different outcome in December at Warrensburg.
The Bearcats (21-1, 11-1 MIAA) suffered their only blemish to the Mules back on December 7, but left nothing in doubt in their second matchup.
Northwest grabbed a double-digit lead less than seven minutes into the game, and held a commanding 46-25 lead at halftime.
The Mules were held scoreless for the first eight minutes and 43 seconds of the second half as the Bearcat advantage eventually grew to 40 points.
Ryan Hawkins paced Northwest with his fifth double-double of the season scoring 27 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
Trevor Hudgins finished with 20 points and six assists.
The 'Cats are home again Saturday afternoon against Lincoln. Game time is set for 3:30. Pregame on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 begins at 3pm.
